Wave Hello – Noughty Hair Review

Why I love Noughty

I’ve been a long time fan of Noughty for a number of reasons:

  • They’ve always been proudly vegan and cruelty free
  • All their products are super cute and instagramable (yes, that’s important)
  • No other vegan haircare smells so good and LINGERS
  • Whatever your hair type they have a range for it
  • They’re 97% natural and great for those moving to cleaner beauty

My latest discovery is their Wave Hello range which I’ve moved on to since their To The Rescue range has brought my previously damaged hair back to health.

Wave Hello

My hair is naturally wavy with a dash of frizzy (okay, a bit more than a dash) and I often waste too much time in the morning straightening (taming) it.

Low Maintenance Mermaid Hair

I love this Wave Hello set as it tames my waves – softer, fuller and smoother.  Like all other Noughty products, it also smells ocean-fresh with the scent lingering long into the next day. Between the scent and the waves, this is great for those longing for mermaid hair.

All I do is wash my hair normally with the shampoo and conditioner, brush out my hair when wet and run an almond sized blob of the cream through my hair. Then let it air-dry. Easy-peasy.

Amazing Ingredients

The Wave Hello range pairs avocado oil with nurturing sea-based ingredients to soften hair, define curls and give wavy hair much needed moisture.

  • Shampoo – avocado oil, sea kelp extract, chlorella
extract, SLMI (surfactant that’s water soluble and sulphate free)
  • Conditioner – avocado oil, sea fennel, Irish moss
  • Taming Cream – mango butter for extra softness & taming frizz

Whilst I love how this range makes my hair feel, I really love the ocean scent which makes me feel both relaxed and exotic.

You can buy the Wave Hello range and other Noughty products at Feelunique.

Vegan and Cruelty Free

Noughty are total animal lovers so are naturally vegan:

Yes. We love animals, so we try to ensure this is reflected in our products. All our products are vegetarian and vegan friendly which means we do not use any ingredients such as lanolin or keratin which can be found widely within haircare products.

They also don’t test on animals or sell in the Chinese market. They’re proud of their ethics and aren’t looking to sell-out.

Sustainable Palm Oil Only

Whilst palm oil isn’t an animal derived ingredient, consuming it can mean contributing to deforestation and a loss of habitat for many animals. Many vegans choose to abstain from consuming palm oil whilst others are happy to use it when produced sustainably. Read on for Noughty’s stance on the matter:

Here at Noughty we use derivatives of palm oil in the production of some of our products as this gives the best results for hair. Sustainability is really important to us so we purchase all our palm oil and palm kernel oils from members of the round table of sustainable palm oil (RSPO).

Since 2004, RSPO has been transforming the palm oil industry in collaboration with the global supply chain, to put it on a sustainable path.
