My New Favourite Hand Cream

Posted byNicole Whittle Posted onOctober 24, 2018 Comments0

You wouldn’t wash your face and then not bother to moisturise, so why do so many of us not bother with our hands? As the weather gets colder and rougher, our hands struggle to maintain their typical moisture and health. Without hand cream, hands can become dry, cracked and painful.

Finding a vegan hand cream that works well can be difficult. Many leading brands use beeswax in their formulas, so it’s important to find a cream that substitutes this wax well. Here’s my hand cream of choice for the season:

Studio Botanic’s Hand Cream

In a nutshell, I love this hand cream for a few key reasons: it smells amazing, absorbs fast (aka doesn’t leave your hands feeling greasy), the design is gorgeous and it keeps away any sore cracks or dryness.

Avocado Oil

One of the key ingredients to making this a nourishing hand cream is avocado. This hand cream uses high-quality avocado oil which provides skin with moisture, vitamins and antioxidants. This not only keeps hands soft but also healthy.

Smells Amazing

This has a gorgeously subtle scent of uplifting mandarin and invigorating peppermint. I love using this at my desk at work as it lifts up my mood and kicks my brain back into gear. The scent is very subtle and short lived, great for those who prefer light fragrances.

Gender Neutral

Hand cream is most often marketed towards women: overpowering floral fragrances, pink packaging and ‘handbag’ sizes. This is so silly and outdated as dry hands isn’t gender specific. As this hand cream has a neutral scent, rather than the typical floral most hand creams have, it makes a great gift for both men and women. The tube itself is modern and monochromatic – a beautiful minimalist design.
