How To Wear Orange This Season (vegan + cruelty free)
Love it or hate it, this season orange is the new black. Whilst we embraced yellow all summer, orange is taking centre stage for the rest of the year. Orange is already synonymous with autumn – it’s the colour of turning leaves, seasonal pumpkins and crackling fires. Whilst it’s a bright, fun, statement shade it can be intimidating to wear. Read on to find out how to work this season’s ‘it’ shade in a cruelty free, vegan-friendly way.

Keep Calm Nail Polish, Butter London
This ultra-glossy, long lasting shade, Keep Calm, from butter London is an easy way to nail orange this season. This nail varnish has two top ingredients: diamonds and bamboo. The bamboo extract is to protect, smooth and strengthen the natural nail, whilst diamond powder is used for brighter and healthy looking results.
Butter London is a vegan-friendly brand (watch out, not all their products are vegan) and ethical elephant has a great guide on which products are.
Fired Up Eyeshadow Palette, Nip + Fab
This palette is a must-have for autumn with warm browns, burnt oranges, smoky purples and deep reds. With an even split between matte and shimmer (6 apiece) it’s easy to create a sultry daytime or fiery evening look. For day time, I run a thin orange shade under my eye and a subtler brown on the lid. With so many shades it’s easy to control how out-there orange you want your look to be.
Nip + Fab aren’t a fully vegan brand but you can check out their vegan products through their FAQs.
Burnt Orange Heeled Mules, Collection & Co
It was love at first sight when I saw these burnt orange heeled mules at the Bare Fashion Show. Created with realistic faux leather and faux suede these look super luxurious and are perfectly autumnal. It was great to try them on in person at the show and I can confirm that the sole and heel are designed for optimum comfort. They also have a gorgeous Orange Fringe Pump if you’re looking for a more sensible shoe.
Collection & Co are a great vegan brand, all their products are made from cruelty-free materials and non-animal glue.
Colour Correcting Fake Tan, Isle of Paradise
A tan complexion really compliments orange shades… as long as your tan isn’t orange too. If you’re fake tanning in the cooler months be sure to go for a tan with colour correcting technologies. Isle of Paradise have a history of tanning starlets thanks to their amazing colour correcting techniques which creates natural looking tans. Try out their peachor green bottle for autumn, whichever is closest to your natural skin tone.
Orange Lipsticks, Axiology
Lipstick is great for bringing together a look. Axiology’s Virtue is a gorgeous golden orange shade with a glimmer of red that has a quiet fiery glow. It’s a great subtle shade for paler skin tones. If you’d rather something more classic, Fundamental is a sexy russet shade with an elegant rose gold finish and compliments all skin tones.
Axiology is a luxurious vegan and cruelty free lipstick brand who are also palm oil free.
