C’est Vegan! Your Guide to Paris’ Plant-Based Scene
Ah, mon dieu! it seems like the City of Light isn’t quite as bright for us vegans as we had hoped. Although Paris has traditionally been known for its meat and cheese, there are signs of progress and some excellent vegan options for those who know where to look. Let’s take a closer look at some of the best vegan restaurants in the city.
If you want to check out some of these restaurants in action, come join me on my Paris vlog where I eat my way through the top recommendations.
Top Restaurants
Aujord’hui Demain

If you’re looking for a top-notch vegan dining experience in Paris, Aujourd’hui Demain should definitely be on your list. This spot takes vegan cuisine to a whole new level, with a menu that’s both creative and delicious. Whether you’re booking for brunch or dinner, every dish is crafted with care and bursting with flavour. Plus, their zero-waste grocery store is a great way to stock up on eco-friendly essentials. It was personally my favourite spot in Paris, and I highly recommend checking it out. Just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time to secure your spot, as it can get quite busy.
Le Potager de Charlotte

Book Le Potager de Charlotte if you’re after a cosy and inviting restaurant with friendly staff, serving up some of the most delicious vegan cuisine in Paris. I can’t recommend it enough. Not only is the ambiance charming and the service top-notch, but the food is absolutely divine. If I had to recommend one dish, it’d be the grilled lettuce starter! It may sound simple, but it was a total game-changer for me. I had no idea lettuce could taste so good! If you’re a vegan visiting Paris, you need to make Le Potager de Charlotte a must-visit spot on your itinerary. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.
Le Potager du Marais
This restaurant has been putting its unique vegan spin on classic French cuisine since 2003, and should be top of your list for your trip to Paris. Located in Saint Paul village, Le Potager du Marais is a true culinary gem that combines the best of both worlds. Their dishes are made with 100% vegan and natural ingredients, with a focus on local and seasonal produce. And if you’re gluten-free, they’ve got plenty of options for you too!
But here’s the catch: Le Potager du Marais has limited opening hours and days, so if you want to secure a table at this popular vegan spot, it’s best to book in advance. Trust me, because I missed out on my last trip! I’ll be sure to make it a priority next time.
Cloud Cakes

Cloud Cakes in the 10th arrondissement is a vegan bakery that will satisfy even the sweetest of tooth. This charming little cafe not only serves up beautiful and delicious vegan cakes, but it’s also the perfect spot to indulge in your obligatory vegan croissant. As a vegan foodie, I can attest to the fact that it can be hard to find delicious vegan treats while traveling, but Cloud Cakes definitely delivers. So why not treat yourself to something sweet and stop by Cloud Cakes on your next trip to Paris? Your taste buds (and Instagram feed) will thank you!
Hank Burger
Looking for a quick and satisfying vegan burger in Paris? Hank Burger has got you covered with a range of options, including the seafood-inspired “Captaine Hank” and the double-faux meat “La Vie Bacon Burger.”
Although, I have to admit that while the burgers were tasty enough, I couldn’t help but feel like I was missing out on the quintessential Parisian dining experience that I had come to enjoy. But hey, if you’re short on time and looking for a tasty vegan burger option, Hank Burger is definitely worth checking out.

So, while Paris may not be a vegan paradise just yet, these restaurants are proof that progress is being made. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that more and more plant-based options will continue to pop up throughout the city. In the meantime, let’s indulge in some vegan goodness and savour every bite!
