Today we’re talking about one of the most hyped up lipstick shades of all time – Clinique’s Black Honey Almost Lipstick. But here’s the thing, whilst we love the shade, we can’t forget about our furry friends. Unfortunately, Clinique is not a cruelty-free brand. But don’t worry, there are plenty of cruelty-free alternatives out there that are just as lovely. Here are three of my top picks which aren’t just cruelty-free, they’re vegan too!

Glossier’s Ultralip

First up, we have Glossier’s Ultralip in the shade Ember. With a semi-opaque, glossy finish, this lipstick provides a natural yet striking look. The deep mauve shade is a near perfect match for Black Honey, and the formula contains three different oils for nourishment and shine. Plus, Glossier is a completely cruelty-free brand, so you can feel good about your purchase.

Hydrating Core Lip Shine by e.l.f.

Next, we have the Hydrating Core Lip Shine by e.l.f. in the shade Ecstatic. This affordable option adds a sheer tint of colour and soft shine to your lips, while the heart-shaped core is infused with moisturising Vitamin E for added hydration. The deep berry shade is another great match for Black Honey, and will save you a bit of money too!

Hurraw!’s Tinted Balm

Hurraw!’s Black Cherry Tinted Lip Balm is a sheer red tint that will have you feeling like a sultry vixen in no time. It’s Ecocert COSMOS certified, so you’re not just enjoying a cruelty-free dupe but also a more eco-conscious dupe too. So why settle for the almost lipstick when you can have the real deal with Hurraw!’s Black Cherry Tinted Lip Balm?

Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Posh Lipstick

Last but not least, we have Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Posh Lipstick in the shade Play. This rich plum berry shade is a close match to Black Honey and will have you spicing up your makeup routine. The formula is enriched with botanical waxes and superfood ingredients for nourishing hydration, giving you the perfect posh pout. Best of all, it’s vegan and cruelty-free, so you can ‘zig-a-zig-ah’ with confidence knowing you’re making a kinder choice for animals.

So there you have it. Three lovely, cruelty-free alternatives to Clinique’s Black Honey Almost Lipstick. Let’s keep our beauty routines as ethical and sustainable as possible, without sacrificing our favorite shades. After all, who says we can’t have our cake and eat it too? Or in this case, our lipstick and wear it too.
