Golden Summer Makeup (Vegan + Cruelty Free)

We’ve been treated to a wonderfully long, warm summer in the UK this year. I’ve used this as an opportunity to perfect my golden goddess style makeup which is warm, sexy and still pretty natural. All the products I’ve used are vegan and cruelty free. Check out my YouTube tutorial and all the details of the products used.

 The Products

Souffle Face Primer, Superdrug, £10– Quite a thick texture which helps to smooth over pores. I use mostly on my T-zone where my skin can get most oily.

Fresh Nude Foundation, The Body Shop,  – I mix up two shades; Sicily Amber (my tan shade) & Hawaii Macadamia (my paler shade) – my skin tone varies a lot over the summer depending on time spent in the sun and time spent tanning. For this reason, I prefer mixing two shades as I can change my foundation colour each week.

All Night Long Concealer, Barry M, £4.49 – Really impressed with the coverage and texture. This has replaced Pixi’s Correcting Concentrate in my makeup bag, which was a lot more expensive at £14.

B. Radiance Powder, Superdrug, £8.99 – I love using this warm radiance powder to add a healthy glow.

Nude Rose Gold Palette, ELF, £10 – This is my go-to everyday eyeshadow palettes. The colours are easy to wear and gentle. It’s such good value for money and can add such a gentle touch of warmth.

Tattoo Liner, Kat Von D, £17 – The shade Mad Max Brown is a gentler, girlier alternative to black eyeliner. I also find a brown liner can be far more forgiving when both eyes don’t quite match.

Lengthening & Volumizing Waterproof Mascara, ELF, £4,50 – Really waterproof, nice and lengthening and so cheap. Downside though; it’s a pain to get off in the evening.

Cassie Lomas Glitter Pigment (Supermodel), Superdrug, £4.99 – Normally reserved for nights out, but sometimes used when I just fancy sparkling. I really love the pot this comes in, as it’s easy to control how much glitter you want out.

Brow wow wow, Medusas Make Up, £10 -Bought through Makeup Without Malice and really impressed. It’s a great shade for me and super easy to use. I’d have been happier with all brow definer and no highlighter, but that’s fine.

Translucent Powder, GOSH, £9.99 – Whilst this is a primer-setter duo, I only ever use this as a setting powder. I always notice a huge difference when I wear this, as it prevents my oily skin from shining through. A cheaper alternative is Barry M’s Ready Set Smooth  which is £5.99.

Before Sunset Lipstick, Inika, £18 – It always takes a good lipstick to complete a look and this is no exception. It’s really long-lasting and gives a smooth, creamy application.

Liquid Chrome Highlighter, Barry M, £6.99 – Use this to draw attention to your favourite areas. For me this is the collar bone and cheek bones. Whilst the pipette is useless, it doesn’t really compromise the product for me.
