I won an award!

That’s right, you’re reading the HBC’s Best Beauty and Lifestyle Blog. It’s all still a bit raw and pinch-me-I’m-dreaming but I’m dead chuffed to have won. I was up against some great other bloggers, so was quite surprised to hear my name!

Thank you

One of the reasons I was chosen for this award was for the community we’ve built together. I love our warm, welcoming little patch of the internet – we love to focus the positives but aren’t afraid to call out sly vegan-washing when we see it.

Nicole has a genuine passion for her blog which is well-written, easy to navigate and has great engagement. She is dedicated to her cause and recognises that for us to form a truly sustainable future, veganism and ethical choices need to be accessible. She’s relatable, knowledgable, passionate and active in the community – what more could you want?’

Anna Brightman, Upcircle

The winner was decided through judge feedback and votes from the public – so thank you so much to everyone that took the time to vote for me all those months ago.

I know how easy blogging can seem, but it takes a lot to figure out how to use WordPress, to find the time to keep publishing content and, after all that, to get people to read your content too! It’s also so hard to know if you’re doing a good job half the time – you haven’t got any boss telling you ‘well done!’ – so this award really does means a lot.

The health blog awards & their sponsors

The Health Bloggers Community is a wonderful online educational platform that brings together wellness bloggers, influencers and professionals wanting to make an impact online. They have a lot of great resources, including a brand new podcast, for aspiring bloggers.

Each year they host the Health Blog Awards, which provide a unique opportunity to celebrate influencers in health and wellness.

Celebrating with sponsors from Georganics and Upcircle

The Best Beauty & Lifestyle category was sponsored by two brands that I adore;

  • Georganics, the natural, eco-friendly, conscientious dental care
  • Upcircle who take unwanted waste, like coffee grounds, and make great skincare products from it

You can catch me and Anna Brightman of Upcircle at Vevolution Festival in November 2019, on the beauty panel. Get your tickets here.
