UK Vegan Hair Salons (everywhere but London)

Posted byNicole Whittle Posted onAugust 9, 2021 Comments0

Welcome to your ultimate guide to vegan-friendly hair salons across the UK. If you’re interested in vegan hair salons within London, I’ll be putting that in a separate blog post. For now, I thought it would be best to focus on those outside of London – as I promise you there are far more than you first thought.

I’d like to thank my followers for sending in all of their favourite vegan-friendly salons and helping to put together this list. If you have any more to recommend, please pop me a message over on @veganbeautygirl and I’ll work to add them in. Extra helpful if you can let me know which products they use and whether they’re fully vegan or just have vegan options!

I’ve tried to include which brands a salon uses if it’s clear online, as I know some may like to avoid Aveda or Pureology. Although these brands themselves are cruelty-free – they have parent companies (Estee Lauder and L’Oreal respectively) that do test on animals. If you are really selective about the brands you want at your salon (I would be too!), please give the salon a call and check what they use before you book.

Cannot  Recommend

Unfortunately I cannot recommend any salons I noticed were using Davines. This brand was once considered cruelty-free but now resides in a grey-area as they sell in China. Read this Cruelty-Free Kitty blog post to learn more.

Please let me know if any other salons on this list are found to use Davines despite offering ‘cruelty-free’ services.
