if you’ve had your eye on kayali’s vanilla 28, im if you’ve had your eye on kayali’s vanilla 28, im sorry to report that it is NOT vegan <\3 despite the brand being cruelty free, when i asked about this particular scent i was told that: 🚨 both KAYALI Vanilla 28 and Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar contain musk. therefore, these fragrances are not considered suitable for vegans or vegetarians :( some vegan swaps include: @floralstreet_ wild vanilla orchid perfume mist @summerfridays sunlit vanilla eau de perfum @saltair salt water vanilla body mist @baylisandhardingplc vanilla seduction body and hair mist @lush vanillary perfume @phlur vanilla canyon eau de perfum lmk if you would like a blog post rounding up the differences in all these vanilla perfumes! #veganuk #crueltyfreeuk

🚨 send to your fellow vegans so they don’t get cau 🚨 send to your fellow vegans so they don’t get caught out 🚨 and tag @pret to let them know that they’re horrid for doing this 😭 ngl i already had reasons to avoid pret, including most notably the recent boycott over them delaying their promise to stop using ultra cruel fast-growing “frankenchickens” 🐔 but i thought i’d return one day to my easy-to-grab vegan cookie. alas no </3 … whilst in london its easy to find alternatives and support a small business whilst doing so. it was a bit of a reliable treat when at airports or other times where shopping is small is hard to come by. but yeah, they’ve closed down their veggie prets, whittled down the vegan options, slowed down animal welfare commitments and now taken away our cookie. we can tell where we’re not wanted. #ukvegans #veganuk #veganlondon
u can always trust @lush to stand on business! t u can always trust @lush to stand on business! their latest campaign is both fundraising and bringing awareness to the dangers of big tech! whilst helping us find the organisations fighting for a safer, less dystopian internet! social media used to be good. but sadly these platforms have been deliberately designed to keep us addicted, harvesting our data whilst billionaire owners profit from division, misinformation and hate. ofc i appreciate the irony of posting this on instagram but most of us can’t simply log off, especially when our jobs and communities exist here. plus we shouldn’t have to just ask individual users to develop better “screen habits”. the platforms themselves NEED to change. lush left instagram, facebook, tiktok and snapchat commercially almost five years ago, and this latest campaign is asking us to think about the real cost of our clicks and helping us take some power back from big tech. and ofc there’s a product!! 75% of the sales price of the £7 ‘ctrl’ shower gummy (minus tax) will be donated to groups working to challenge big tech and create safer social spaces. anyway don’t ask me why lush are my faves. #crueltyfreeuk #veganuk #safersocials

ad | comment “PETITION” to help protect our oceans ad | comment “PETITION” to help protect our oceans! the wellness industry is taking food from whales to put into supplements, despite a more direct alternative already existing  🐳 we’re already seeing the consequences: fur seals are now endangered, with reduced krill availability and climate change contributing to their decline. penguin colonies are shrinking. and studies indicate that krill populations may not be able to support both recovering whale populations and increased krill fishing. yet krill is still being harvested at record levels for supplements, pet food and fish feed. norwegian vessels account for around 60% of the Antarctic krill fishing quota… and Norway recently attempted to almost double it! pls comment “PETITION” and i’ll send you the link to ask Norway to oppose the expansion of krill fishing and instead support new Antarctic marine protected areas 💙 #NorwayKnowsBetter
