Lush Subscription Box – is it worth it?

I was lucky enough to be sent across the June 2020 Lush subscription box [pr product] and it was a total delight! Very few things in this world beat a surprise parcel from Lush. Read on to learn more about the box and to hear my thoughts…

The Subscription Service

Cost? £35/month + shipping,

What’s in the box? Each month you’ll get a box of 4-5 exclusive products. The contents of every box are based on subscriber votes from a changing monthly menu, plus one or two surprise goodies chosen by Lush.

Vegan? Each box will contain vegan products only.

Dates? You have to subscribe by the 10th of the month & then Lush get started prepping the boxes which ship on the last day of the month.

Otherwise, here’s a quick summary on the pros and cons:

Pros

  • Includes exclusive products which make you feel special, like you’re part of a secret Lush club
  • Good value for money – the products in my box added up to roughly £45, whereas the box costs £35
  • Each box is vegan, so you’ll be able to use all the products
  • You have the opportunity to vote on which products you get each month

cons

  • Lush products last a long time, getting 5 a month is a bit much
  • The June box had 2 shower gels – that’s already enough to last me the rest of the year
  • You won’t always like the products you get (when you know it’s not for you, save it for a friends birthday!)
  • You don’t have the option to sign up for ‘every other month’ or anything other than monthly

Am I gonna sign up?

I already have too many beauty products, so this subscription box is definitely a no-no for me. However, I would definitely be keen to sign up for a one off box around my favourite seasons – maybe Autumn, Christmas or Valentines?
